| CJCP Instant Decision Days |
Instant decision days are an important part of the college application process. With the first graduating class this year, CJCP utilized this opportunity to save money and assist seniors with college applications. We had 6 instant decision days on our campus for 2009-2010 academic year. Our seniors met with college representatives and had personal interviews. Students have no obligation to attend the college if they receive an instant decision. Approximately 55 applications were submitted through this process, resulting in fee waivers. Overall $2,200.00 was saved by our students for college application fees through instant decision days.

| Turkish Olympiad |
Our students attended the 3rd annual Turkish Olympiad on March 6, 2010. Our Turkish language club and Folk Dance Club worked hard for the Olympiad. Nzinga Johnson and Dondre Smiley, coached by Mr. Hakan, performed "Zeybek"-Western Turkey Traditional Dance. Moreover, Mrs. Sims' Turkish Club students; DeLisa Thompson, Brianna Smith and Afra Dur competed in the same order in poem, singing, and poem for native speaker categories. As you may know, last year our school participated in the Turkish Olympiads for the first time. Aciya Jenkins of 11th grade became the first place and earned a fellowship to travel to Turkey and represent our school and the United States of America. It was a great honor for our school that participated in the competition for the first time to have a student representing United States among 115 nations.
