CJCP SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENT |

All CJCP students are required to complete a summer reading assignment that is due on the first day of school. This assignment will be counted towards the first marking period grade. To complete this task, students must read at least two books. One of them has to be from the summer reading list. For more information please click here. |

 CJCP's Architect Design Team has won Honorable Mention in the 2008 competition to design a four bedroom house with handicap facilities. This year for the first year the American Institute of Architect's New Jersey Chapter sponsored a high school competition for a four bedroom house with one bedroom and bath with a study that would be handicap accessible. Four students from CJCP entered as a team: LaNiyah Bradley, Gabriel Gomez, Angeli Harris, and Duncan Maina. They were awarded the Honorable Mention Certificate and a $50 gift card from Borders Books and Music. Please join us in congratulating them on their success. |

 Dear Parent/Guardian,
Each middle school student at CJCP is required to complete a Science Fair project in the form of an independent investigation. Any area of science may be expanded as long as it involves a scientific problem collecting original data, or a demonstration. Science fair project might help students with 20 % to improve their grade as an extra credit. Encourage your child to choose a topic that involves materials that can be found at home or purchased at a hobby shop, pet shop, garden center, or hardware store. I will help them from our lab too. I have posted many web sites for ideas under assignments and I will give them handouts for ideas too. |
