Application/Enrollment Process

**Please keep in mind that the applications for the 2012-2013 academic year will be made available as of January 1, 2012. **

Application Process

Step 1: Submit an Application- Applications can be found on our website in the upper tab area Apply Online. Once the application is completed please hit submit and the application will be sent to our online database. If you receive an error message after submitting the application or you are not sure whether or not we received your application please send an email to dnecimo@njcollegeprep.org and be sure to indicate the applicants name and the grade that they are applying for.

Step 2: Attend Open House- In the application you will find a drop down tab with Open House dates. Please pick one of the dates. All applicants are recommended to attend one of our Open Houses. If for any reason you cannot attend any of the provided open house dates please call 732-302-9991 Ext: 105 to schedule a information session and tour.

Step 3: Documents- After attending one of our open houses you will be asked to submit some documentation such as a proof of address, proof of age, and proof of grade attending.

Lottery Process:

After having completed the three steps you will be given a lottery number and a letter confirming that your child’s name will be included in the lottery to come.

6^th Grade- New Cohort of 48 students every year!

Please keep in mind that there will be 3 lotteries that will be held throughout the year for grade 6 applicants.

7^th-12^th Grade- Based on Availability

There will be a lottery held in late May and the total available seats per grade will be announced at the day of the lottery. Once the lottery is conducted the availability of seats will be given to those who were selected by the random process. All other applicants will be placed on a Waiting List.

The lottery will be held in the CJCP Auditorium at 3:30PM. A random process in the form of a lottery will be used to determine admission. First priority for enrollment will be given to students who are residents of the CJCP’s declared district of residence. Enrollment priority will be given to siblings of a student enrolled in the CJCP. In the event that the random lottery process is used to determine enrollment, names will continue to be drawn after all available spaces have been filled in order to form an enrollment waiting list. Once a child is admitted as a student at the CJCP, his/her enrollment is guaranteed through each grade level, provided that enrollment is continuous from year to year. If the student withdraws from the school, thus breaking the cycle of continuous enrollment, he/she would have to reapply during the initial recruitment period and be subject to the policies and procedures of admission as new.
