Chinatown Trip
On
Tuesday, June 2 several of Ms. Sun`s Chinese classes experienced the wonder
and ancient mystique of Chinatown. Located in New York City, Chinatown is
known for its Asian influenced culture and atmosphere. The students had the
opportunity to be a part of this unique culture as they explored different
shops and interacted with locals. Although rain threatened to spoil the day,
the students trudged on, eager to glean as much knowledge of the area as
possible. They soon arrived at their destination, Jiu ji restaurant. With the
guidance of Ms. Sun and Mr. Genovese, students ordered exquisite Asian
cuisines. Many students even decided to display their knowledge of the
Chinese language by responding to their servers. Upon leaving the restaurant,
obtaining as many artifacts as possible so as not to forget that memorable
trip was top priority. However, the day came to an end and everyone departed
with a little bit of Asian culture now a part of them.
