Mother's Day Brunch

On May 9th, Saturday, CJCP parents, students, and staff members gathered to celebrate Mother`s Day. Each mother was presented a wrapped rose when she entered the cafeteria. The program started with Mr. Icin welcoming the parents and congratulating moms for Mother`s Day. It continued with program coordinators`, Mrs. Sims` and Mrs. Hernandez`s, brief welcome and introduction. The hosts of the event were 10th grade students Dondre and Darion Smiley and Glenda Lopez. They introduced the music videos about mothers such as Cyndia Lauper`s `I want a mom that will last forever`, Spice Girls` `Mama`, Josh Groban`s famous inspirational song `You raise me up` and a humorous video called "The Mom Song`.

CJCP Annual Mother's Day Brunch

We will be hosting our annual Mother`s Day brunch on Saturday, May 9th between 10am to 12pm. The event will be held at the CJCP cafeteria. Guests will be served refreshments and BBQ. They will also enjoy presentations from their children. We invite all CJCP students with their moms and grandmas as well as CJCP staff members to join us for this event.Surprise door prizes will also be given. NYC Trip

On Friday May 4th close to 60 students took a trip to New York City where they enjoyed the American Museum of Natural History and lunch in Midtown Manhattan. Students got a chance to see exciting exhibits such as the Dinosaur, African & South American History and much more. Students also enjoyed the nice weather that held up just enough for the trip. Special thanks to Ms. Grey of 11A and Ms. Johnson of 11B for their help chaperoning during the trip.

3rd Marking Period Breakfast

Students on the Principal`s List and Student of the Month awardees attended a special breakfast on May 2, 2009 to honor their hard work. Members of our robotics team were also invited to the breakfast. Parents accompanied their children to share their success. After receiving their certificates from Mr. Duz, Chief Education Officer, students enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Mr. Duz thanked the students and parents for their hard work and dedication.
